Year of Innovation France-Singapore

Year of Innovation France-Singapore

"On the occasion of the state visit by then-French President François Hollande to Singapore in March 2017, Singapore and France agreed to designate 2018 as the Year of Innovation (YOI) in a joint declaration on innovation."

And while the objectives of the 2018 France-Singapore YOI are to intensify bilateral cooperation and foster events and activities, and as both countries have much to learn from each other's experience, we have decided to do our part by putting together this special issue on innovation. It is even more obvious for ESSEC Business School since we are established in Singapore since 2005. The city-state holds a special place in our heart.

Innovation is an integral part of our (digital) landscape. Innovation is also what drives the transformation of our economies, although it is not necessarily always disruptive. But we all know that the definition of innovation these days can be quite vague, as it encompasses almost everything and anything. In connecting 10 articles, each covering their own unique topics – from accounting to AI –  you will find a selection of items with the potential to bring fresh perspectives to you and your business. Each prepared with nothing but the most cutting-edge research.
