Stoyan teaches Strategy and Management, Organizational Behaviour and International Cultural Management in the MSc program. He is in charge of the “Cultural Management” track at ESSEC. His research has appeared in the American Journal of Sociology and Sloan Management Review amongst others. His current research is on the cultural industries, with a particular emphasis on opera and the art market, addressing issues such as innovation and management practices, changing industry structure and problems of product valuation. Stoyan received the Richard Beckman prize of the Sloan Management Review for best paper in 2006. Stoyan has been a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and Bocconi School of Management in Milan. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Stanford University.
