Professor Prokopec’s research examines consumer judgment and decision-making with a specific focus on the role of mental budgeting in decision-making and self-control. She is also interested in understanding the factors that affect brand perceptions of luxury brands. Her research has appeared in the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Consumer Psychology among others, in addition to Psychology Today, the Huffington Post and Business Times Singapore. Professor Prokopec has been named the ESSEC LVMH Chaired Professor of Luxury Brand Management in 2010. In addition, she teaches Consumer Behavior in the ESSEC MSc, Global MBA, MBA Luxury Brand Management and PhD programs as well as Marketing Research in the ESSEC MSc program.
