André Fourçans is a Distinguished Professor who has published extensively in academic reviews and journals including the Journal of Monetary Economics and Credit and Banking, as well as 15 books (academic and popular books translated in numerous languages). He also writes regularly in newspapers such as: Le Monde, Le Figaro, The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has been Special Advisor to a European Commissioner for three years, a member of the European Parliament for eight years, and a member of the Economic and Social Council of France for five years. André has been a Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University and has also taught at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris. He became Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in 2008. André hols a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Paris.
